Geoffrey Pyle
Director Board (Founder)

Geoffrey (Royal Institute of British Architects) started Khmer Architecture Tours in 2003, when he had a successful Architecture Studio in Phnom Penh (2003-’11). Later, in 2009 he was also Co-founder of Space for Architecture Cambodia. His vision for Phnom Penh is to grow and develop as a modern city that meets the needs of all its inhabitants, while maintaining its unique character and links with the past. Geoff is now based and working in London with Pyle Consult.
Stefanie Sellon
Director Board (Founder)

Stefanie, working freelance as a Graphic Designer since 1997, became interested in Architecture and Urban Spaces in Phnom Penh when she lived in Cambodia. She was Coordinator for both Khmer Architecture Tours (2007-’12) and Cambodian Living Arts (2007-’08). In this period she organised many events and festivals in Phnom Penh, (Open Door, Our City, and Pochentong Int. Airport). Stefanie was also Co-founder of both Manolis House and Space for Architecture in Phnom Penh.
Sitho Sim

Sitho (Architect BSc, Royal University of Fine Arts, PP) joined Khmer Architecture Tours from the start in 2003 and has since been involved with KA-Tours and from 2009 with SAC too. She worked with Archetype Group (2007-’10), for ARAKAWA (2010-‘14) and since 2014 for The Room Design Studio. For Cambodia’s future, Sitho hopes that Cambodian governors will have a wider view and understanding about the remaining heritage, will improve education system and support preservation.
Tara Mar
Senior Adviser

Tara Mar is an anthropologist with specialization in tourism and heritage preservation. From Montreal, Canada, she graduated with a degree in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in International Development from McGill University and received a Masters degree in Anthropology with specialization on South East Asia at the University of Amsterdam International School. She later was an intern and staff member of the Center for Khmer Studies based in Siem Reap and was employed by UNESC
Ester van der Laan
Research & Design Manager

Ester (Architect, TU-Delft, Netherlands) specialised in Tropical Building Techniques, resulting in the design of a Training Centre for Refugees in Sudan, in Mud Architecture. Ester worked for Unesco from ‘97 in Restoration & Preservation of Cultural Heritage (Morocco, Ethiopia). Since 2003 she has lived in Asia, working in design, building and renovation projects and boat building. In 2014 Ester joined SAC and KA-Tours, in support of preserving Cambodian Heritage.
Chip Chanthy
KA-Tours Booking Coordinator

Chip Chanthy is Khmer Architecture Tours (KA-Tours) coordinator. She received a degree of Business Management from Build Bright University in Phnom Penh and completed the English Tour Guide Training course in 2013. From 2002 to 2012 Chanthy involved with many works in tourism industry such as supervisor and receptionist at Villa Langka, Phnom Penh, supervisor and sale at Terrasse Des Elephant hotel, Siem Reap and tour coordinator at Beyond Unique Escape tour
Danith Vuth
Finance Associate

Danith (Architect BSc, Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh) joined Khmer Architecture Tours in 2012. Working with Collective Studio PP (2012-’13), she dealt with topics such as “envisioning solutions to improve the built environment and the way that people interact with it”. From 2013-‘15, with Pool C Architecture & Design, she did architectural and interior design, use of recycled wood, design of reliable, low cost-high quality buildings. Danith now works freelance.
