Khmer Architecture Tours (KA Tours) conducts architectural tours in Phnom Penh in order to promote the understanding of modern architecture in Cambodia. It focuses on buildings erected after Cambodia’s independence in 1953, describes as ‘New Khmer Architecure’,while setting these in the historical context of Phnom Penh.

Khmer Architecture Tours started as an independent, not-for-profit organization in 2003 in Phnom Penh and is now a part of Space for Architecture Cambodia.

In addition to arranging tours and guiding, we research buildings and provide training to students and young Architects to become guides, do surveys and prepare data about important buildings. KA Tours’ guides and researchers are primarily Cambodian architects and students of architecture.

Regular public tours take place every weekend of the year. Customized, private tours can be organised upon demand.

KA Tours has also developed three walking maps or heritage trails, both for Phnom Penh and Battambang, which are free to download from the KA Tours website.

If you are interested in taking one of the Architecture Tours, either focusing on Colonial Heritage buildings or the unique 1960s New Khmer Architecture buildings and projects, please check out the website www.ka-tours.   org or inquire for a booking directly at contact@ka-tours.org.   .
